Hey brother, just a quickie at the 2 events in madiera drive brighton, what soundsystem was used. I was up front on both events and I couln’t see any markings in the cabs but they looked a bit like some of the newer turbosound jobbies. I’m a soundsytem freak so I hope you can let me know. It sounded damn nice BTW.

    Hi Norm

Lee La Roc sent you our promo for a vinyl release coming out in April, which is completely original production and vocals. We have so much faith in this release and wondered if you’d let us know what you think? Lee has produced one of the remixes on the EP and the Nick Fonkynson remix is astonishing.

If you like it we’d love to send you a few copies when it comes out on vinyl, as well as the digi promo you were already sent from Lee.

Would be a real lift to hear back!

    Best wishes
    Steve (aka Hayz)

Hi Norm, any chance of releasing a new Fatboy Slim album anytime soon? I’ve been anxiously waiting for a new one for years now. I sure hope you will stick to the original beats and feel like the first three albums as opposed to going to today’s awful mainstream clubbing music.

who got u to start DJ/singing?

My personal favourite has to be ‘demons’ with macy gray. It’s got a bit more substance and soul than many of my tunes (and hence not one of my bigger hits!)
I got to start dj’ing coz I was the only one who had all the records so I got invited to all the parties. If I left the records lying around they would get stolen or trashed so the party throwers would hire me dj decks. I loved it from day one and so did the crowd so more and more people asked me and so I started charging. This was house-parties, recreational halls and weddings in those days…

    Hello fbs,

no questions, just love. Thank you for the music, the memories, the mashed up beats, and my favourite…thank you for creating. You’re one of the few who can make this 37 y/o, 6ft 3in, 134kg man feel alive and free…..I look forward to shaking my ass at the Palace on march 7th.

    Hi Norm,

hope you´re going fine ;) I started djing with records of you, Chemical Brothers, Freestylers or the Wiseguys.. After 13 years still djing almost all kind of styles of Big Beat & Breaks I´m intressted to know if it´s possible to book you for a gig in Stuttgart Germany and how much it would cost?

Best regards, Marco (Poly Fux, Poly in Wax, Masive Lounge, Bassuniversum, Kinky Beat Stuttgart, F´nky Beatbox)

Why isn’t the beach boutique on the beach? I understand the last one had a small amount of trouble from a few twats afterwards but is that a reason to not do it again? I was due at that last 1 but my grandad had a heart attack as i was on my way there so i had to turn back.

    Hope ya good

Jesse. It is so incredibly difficult to put shows on the beach. The council really don’t want me to do it on any regular basis so as we have access to a brand new football stadium that everyone in brighton should be proud of it makes sense to do it there…

    Hey Norm,

My name is Bradley and I am a 19 year old aspiring DJ / want to be producer. I am a wheelchair user suffering from cerebral palsy, but anyway, I started DJing at the age of seventeen and love it, but in recent years I have found myself wanting to venture more into the production side of things. I am using Ableton live, and I am getting along with it quite well, I just wondered if you had any advice for me regarding where to start when it comes to music production? I an influenced by acts such as yourself, Herve, Switch, Eats Everything, Kissy Sell Out & Daft Punk to name but a few.

Thank you for any advice / help you may be able to give me…

    Regards,

    Bradley from Northamptonshire U.K

Bradley. I’m currently learning ableton too. Maybe you could give me tips? My only advice would be ignore the presets on all the internal synths coz the good ones have all been used already!

My 5 year old grandson tried to sing “What About Now,” while I tape recorded it, but couldn’t do the back-up AND sing the lyrics–can you tell me how many people it took to do the song in studio? I want him to know that one person cannot do it alone. Thanks in advance, he loves that song and sings it all the time.

    Dear Norm,
Are there any plans to release Yum Yum Head Food’s Let’s Not Be Like Everybody Else? I absolutely love this track and it is such a shame that after so many years it has still not seen the light of day.

I am a long time fan who has really enjoyed your music. I was lucky enough to be in Sydney at Bondi in 06 which just blew my mind. Anyway my question is I had my house broken into some time back and had amongst other things my CDs stolen, ive slowly built it back up but cannot get
Live at Bondi Beach or the Brighton Beach CD either
I’m not asking you for free CDs I’ll buy them I just can’t find them here in AUS and I’ve tried
    I Hope you could help
    Cheers, Dazz

    Hey Norm,
I was hoping to make a music video, and was wanting to know if I could use one of your songs for the backing. The video is not going to be used for commercial use, but I will be uploading it onto a couple of media websites for artistic purposes.
No problem if it’s a ‘no’.

    Cheers
